Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all products and services provided by Hooray HQ ("we", "us", "our"), a party hire and event decoration business based in Whangaparaoa, Auckland, New Zealand. By placing an order or making a booking with Hooray HQ, you ("the customer") agree to these terms.

1. Bookings & Payment

• Grab & Go orders are paid in full at checkout.
• Custom installations have a minimum spend of $500 and are not confirmed until a 50% deposit has been received; the balance is due prior to the event.
• We accept payment by credit/debit card via our secure checkout (Stripe). Prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected].

• Grab & Go orders are non-refundable.
• Custom installations require at least 2 weeks' notice to cancel, and the deposit is non-refundable. Depending on the situation, we may be able to offer a partial credit.

If we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no cost.

3. Collection & Delivery

• Grab & Go orders are collected from our Whangaparaoa location by appointment. Pickups are available Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
• Delivery may be available within greater Auckland for an additional fee, quoted separately.
• Please bring a vehicle large enough to transport your balloons — an SUV with the seats down usually does the trick.
• Custom orders are delivered and installed by us.

4. Custom Installations

• Final design, size, and price are confirmed in writing before any deposit is taken.
• You're responsible for ensuring the venue is accessible and suitable (wall space, anchor points, ceiling height). We use approved adhesive strips and take reasonable care, but are not liable for damage to venue surfaces.

5. Balloons are perishable

Our balloon garlands can easily last 7 days and, when kept in the right conditions, can last up to 3 weeks. For the best longevity, keep balloons indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat, and sharp objects. We're not responsible for deflation, colour fading, or breakage after your order is collected or installation is complete. Screen colours are a guide; we match Tuftex colours as closely as we can.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant product or service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury caused by our negligence.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or exclude your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where you acquire our products or services as a consumer. Those rights apply in addition to anything stated here.

7. Privacy

We handle your information in line with our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
