Business Opening Balloon Ideas for Auckland Shops and Offices
What to put at the door, what it costs and how to have it ready before you open
An opening day has one job: get people to notice the door and walk through it. Balloons do that well, because they are big, colourful and easy to spot from a car or across a car park. Here is what works at a shop, office or venue entrance, what each piece costs, and how to plan it so it is ready before you open.
Four pieces that work at an entrance
An entrance garland
A garland that follows the door frame or runs across the shopfront. It marks the entrance and gives people somewhere to stop for a photo. Organic garlands start at $250 and the price depends on the length.
A pair of columns
Two weighted 2m columns, one each side of the door. They suit narrow entrances and shared walkways where there is not much room, and they work at stage edges and stand corners too. Columns are $150 each.
An arch
A weighted 3x3 arch in up to three colours. Use it over a ribbon-cutting spot or as a backdrop for speeches and photos, with your business name as a text decal. Arches are $350 in a structured style and $400 in an organic style.
A balloon wall
A photo wall for inside the shop or foyer. The mini wall is 2m x 1.5m for $300 and the full wall is 3m x 4m for $700. A wall gives guests a reason to take a picture and post it.
Every price above is on our price list, and installation is included within 20km of Whangaparaoa.
Use your brand colours
Two or three colours read better from a distance than five. Send us your brand colours and we will match them as closely as we can from the balloon range. You can add your business name or opening date as a text decal on an arch, or have a logo or text printed on balloons. Send your artwork with your brief.
Plan the install around your opening time
The display should be finished before the first customer arrives. We install early in the morning or after hours the night before, so tell us when you can give us access. If you are in a shopping centre or a shared building, ask centre management or your landlord what is allowed at the entrance and when suppliers can load in. We confirm access with the venue before the day.
After the event we take the display down and take it away. If you would like to keep the balloons for the week, just say so.
Indoors or outdoors?
Indoors is best. Balloons last longest away from direct sun, heat and wind. Plenty of openings need something outside the door though, so tell us where it is going (under a verandah, on a footpath, in an open car park) and we will tell you what will hold up.
How to book
- Send your date, address, colours and a rough idea of size. A photo of the entrance helps.
- We quote within 24 hours.
- We can invoice on account or work to your purchase order. A 50% deposit holds the date.
- Three to four weeks' notice is ideal. If your opening is sooner, ask and we will tell you what is possible.
Where we install
We are based in Whangaparaoa. Installation is included on the Hibiscus Coast (Silverdale, Orewa, Whangaparaoa) and much of the North Shore (Albany, Browns Bay, Takapuna). For the rest of Auckland we quote a travel fee with your booking.
